La Presa Epoxy Floors

About our flooring contractor company in La Presa

Glossy gray-and-white flake-coated garage floor beneath white cabinets and an open garage door.

We start with the concrete underneath

I learned concrete floors from my dad. I tagged along to his jobs as a kid and worked them beside him for years after that, so when I started La Presa Epoxy Floors here in 2023, I'd already seen plenty of floors fail and most of the reasons why. Nearly every time, the trouble was the slab underneath, not the coating on top.

That's still the first thing I'm curious about when I look at your garage, basement or pool deck. What's on the concrete, and what happened to it before? A lot of our calls come from homeowners around La Presa and the cities near it whose slabs have old glue, damp spots or a coating that already peeled, and those are the floors I like working on most. Around here your address probably says Spring Valley, and the County handles permits instead of a city, so we check with the office that covers your property before work starts. If your floor's giving you trouble, tell me what's going on with it.

What you can expect from us

  • We find out what's on your slab

Before we suggest a floor, we look at your concrete for moisture, old glue, cracks and past coatings. What we find decides what goes down, so the floor fits the slab it sits on.

  • The same person, start to finish

I'm the one who comes out to look at your job, and I'm on the floor with our crew when we install it. Nothing you tell me at the estimate gets lost in a handoff.

  • Most of our effort goes into prep

A finish holds up only as well as the concrete under it, so we put most of our effort into grinding, repairs and cleaning the slab. It's the part you won't see, and it's where floors usually fail.

  • A straight answer on fit

If a floor isn't right for your slab or your space, we'll say so and explain what would work better. That's better for both of us than a coating that lets go later.
